Textile mercerizing process

HIGH QUALITY DAYLIGHTING SOLUTION

Textile industry produces weak caustic in large quantities, mainly as a result of the mercerization process. The untreated caustic weak lye leads to the waste of caustic soda and uses excessive acid in the ETP to neutralize the caustic soda. a QUALITY’s Caustic Recovery Unit (CRU) uses steam to concentrate caustic weak lye (4-5 Be-NaOH) into concentrated caustic (30-32 Be-NaOH) as desired by the client. At the end of the process, concentrated caustic is recovered, while vapor from the last stage is condensed with cooling water, where it absorbs waste heat from the vapor. This results in hot water generation as a by-product, which can be used in other units.
