Textile industry produces weak caustic in large quantities, mainly as a result of the mercerization process. The untreated caustic weak lye leads to the waste of caustic soda and uses excessive acid in the ETP to neutralize the caustic soda. a QUALITY’s Caustic Recovery Unit (CRU) uses steam to concentrate caustic weak lye (4-5 Be-NaOH) into concentrated caustic (30-32 Be-NaOH) as desired by the client.
